Why doesn't Dr. Bledsoe give the narrator a second chance at the college
Why doesn't Dr. Bledsoe give the narrator a second chance at the college
When the narrator is dismissed from the college, we can easily infer by Bledsoe's words that regardless of the works he is credited with, he also has a deep rooted bias and prejudice against the black race. He seems charitable and caring, but obviously his charity only extends to those things that positively impact his own persona. The narrator embarrassed him.... he would never have allowed him to stay at the college.
