It's difficult to know exactly where you are because page numbers can be f=different from copy to copy. Still, my best guess is that Aunt Sponge thinks they should lower James into the well in a bucket and leave him there for the night to teach him a lesson about work ethic. Aunt Spiker agrees but she thinks James should finish chopping the wood first.
