How does Bronte use weather to indicate mood or forshadow an important event?

Bronte uses beautiful weather to indicate positive events and happiness, whereas, she uses dismal or stormy weather to illustrate negative moods or events. The example below can be found on Page 62 of the novel.

“Some heavy clouds swept from the sky by a rising wind, had left the moon bare; and her light streaming in through a window near, shone full both on us and on the approaching figure, which we at once recognize as Miss Temple”

In this instance, Miss Temple eases Jane's feelings of humiliation (illustrated by the heavy cloud cover) with cake and tea (the light streaming through the window when the clouds pass by).
