what can we learn about Charlotte Bronte and the values and ideals of the victorian age from the novel Jane Eyre ?

I think that we can learn that women were considered second class citizens and that a woman must be prim and proper at all times. They must remain lady like and be cordial to all. Bronte wanted to show the injustices that women faced and wanted to make a point that it does not have to be hat way.
