Jane Eyre

What does jane mean by this quote?

The quote is: "-because I witnessed hourly in him a style of courtship which, if careless and choosing rather to be sought than to seek, was yet, in its very carelessness, captivating, and in its very pride, irresistible.” (185)

Not too sure if it is meant towards the fact that, that is how rochester is acting towards Blanche, or it is what Jane thinks of him? a tad bit confused!

Jane is speaking to Rochester's courting of Blanche, which if she looked closely, she would see that his carelessness and pride truly spoke to his disinterest rather than a desire for something more.
