Why did Sam Adams go to Mr. Lornes printing shop in the middle of the night?

Sam Adams visits Mr. Lorne's printing shop to let them know there's an uprising on the horizon. He requests that Mr. Lorne print up posters asking the public to protest and stop tea from being unloaded in the harbor.
