Brutus thinks killing Mark Antony would be excessive. Brutus argues that Antony is like Caesar's arm. Once Caesar is dead, Antony will be powerless. Brutus isn't into the whole mass slaughter thing. Brutus is much more calculating and aware of his motivations.
