What is significant about the fact Octavius has the last lines of the play?
The fact that Octavian has the final lines in the play is significant for a few reasons. First, Octavian refers to Brutus as a noble Roman..... he concedes that Brutus was good man, his comportment is what we would expect from a leader. Second, he acts in a way of which his uncle would approve, and lastly, Octavian will soon become the Emperor of Rome.
