Why does Brutus believe Cassius' fake letters from the people and join him in the conspiracy, and what are the consequences in Acts 1 and 2?

Let me clarify your question. Why does Brutus believe that Cassius faked letters but joined his conspiracy anyway?

I don't really recall Brutus finding out the letters were Forged

He was deceived into thinking they were written by the commoners
