Julius Caesar
Contrast Cassius's and Brutus's attempts to get their men to assist in their deaths.
Act V
Act V
Cassius is overwhelmed by what he percieves to be Titanius' capture, so he offers Pindarus his sword so that he may be slain by the same sword with which he killed Caesar. He does so while covering his eyes. Brutus, on the other hand, falls on his own sword. It is clear that Brutus' suicide is more honorable than Cassius--especially because he does not close his eyes in fear.
