Julius Caesar
in what two ways may Cassius's prediction in lines 111-113 be interpreted?
act three scene 1
Cassius: Why, he that cuts off twenty years of life cuts off so many years of death.
act three scene 1
Cassius: Why, he that cuts off twenty years of life cuts off so many years of death.
One interpretation would be that a man who shortens his life by twenty years saves himself twenty years of worrying about death.
Another interpretation (I'm stretching here), could be that the last twenty years of a person's life might be filled chronic illness, making them wish that they were in fact dead.
