Why did the soothsayer bother warning Caesar if there was nothing he could do to prevent his death?

As already stated, in my opinon, the soothsayer is issuing a warning. Caesar did not heed the warning and was killed. "Beware" is not a statement that something is unavoidable..... it is a warning to use caution.
