Julius Caesar
List at least 3 instances where Caesar seems most un-godlike
act 1
act 1
Shakespeare shows us Caesar only in his final days and mostly through the eyes of those who are his competitors for power in Rome. Cassius's account of his rescuing Caesar while they were swimming across the Tiber certainly points this out.
Caesar gets more superstitious and paranoid in his old age. He is very concerned about what the Soothsayer might say and getting signs from the Gods.
It is said that Caesar is sickly, hard of hearing and has epilepsy.
