Julius Caesar
Over the course of the play, we see some questionable behavior from Antony. How does he redeem himself in Act V?
Antony is Caesar's "right-hand" man.
Antony is Caesar's "right-hand" man.
Antony redeems himself in Act V as he speaks over Brutus' body and honors him in death. Anthony concedes that Brutus was in fact the best Roman of them all, and that his part in the conspiracy was honorable unlike the others, because his only wiah was to act in the best interests of Rome. Unofrtunately, Brutus wasn't as adaptable as Antony, and Antony's ability to roll with the punches enabled him to see the conspirators destroyed. Act V allows the reader to appreciate Antony as a human rather than a military leader for the first time.
