Julius Caesar
what does Brutus reveal about his own character when he says:
"If it aught be toward the general good, set honor in one eye and death I' th' other, and I will look on both indifferentl. "
"If it aught be toward the general good, set honor in one eye and death I' th' other, and I will look on both indifferentl. "
Aught in this context means "anything." He is saying that he most concerned with the good of all the people and nothing - honor nor death - will deter his determination from doing that which is good for the majority.
