Keats frequently alluded to art and antiquity of the ancient world. He frequently utilized mythic figures like Homer in his poem "To Homer". Ancient objects like the Grecian urn speak to the transience of life. Ancient cultures can live on in through these objects despite constantly changing times. The urn still speaks to people today. In this way Keats’s poetry becomes an embodiment of the perennial ancient art that he cherished so much.
