Why arent george and hazel more affected by seeing the death of their son on tv?
Hazel isn't too bright. She has barely any handicaps and she has been conditioned not to think about anything substantial. George has so many handicaps that the thought of his sun sends sirens and alarms through his head. The second he thinks of his son, his brain is shocked into submission.
