3) Is one presented as more attractive than the other? Do you think if it’s a competition between two lifestyles, does one win? Why or why not?

The poems shows their own lifestyle, afterall it depends on people what lifestyle they wish to live for. There is no such things like one is more attractive than another beacuse both of the lifestyle is important to we humans . It is also possible that speakers taking about their own life i.e living with mirth or living with melancoly,both has its own joy in itself. Criticizing the life of another is because you've never got to live like that. Living happy and carefree life or living life dedicated to study only both has it's own pros and cons . Thus, i don't think any of lifestyles wins just beacuse you don't live for them.
