Chaucer describes the knight in the Canterbury tales as fearless in battle, but meek and courteous otherwise. How does Arthur measure up to this standard of chivalry?

King Arthur is the epitome of knightly chivalry. He is brave, courteous, fair, and well mannered. I would not, however, describe him as meek.
