Briefly describe the problem that Pi faces.

Pi is the only member of his family to survive the sinking of the ship on which they were traveling. His biggest problem, however, was that he was sharing a life raft with dangerous animal, including the tiger, Richard Parker. Not to mention the fact that there was no food or fresh water.
