Life of Pi
What is the point of Pi's tale of Krishna and the milmaids?
In chapter 16
In chapter 16
This parable extolls Pi's beliefs about religion. Like the milkmaids and their desire to possess Krishna, many religions attempt to obliterate all others. Pi believes that when religions try to make a claim of ownership on the one true God, they only succeed in making religion disappear in the same way Krishna did.
