Life of Pi
What is the significance of Pi losing his clothes?
After Pi explains he had been lost at sea for 227 days, he then says he clothes began to disintegrate and he devloped boils.

I think this represents Pi's vulnerability in the face of God and nature. There are Biblical allusions here to the Old Testament.
