chpter 9 chaos

Marcus notes that he’s done all this to his dad when referring to the chaos that has happened in SF. He doesn’t seem to care about the trouble he’s caused the city and its citizens, just that which he’s caused his father. What do we learn about Marcus and the development of his character through this?

I think Marcus is slowly maturing but, at this point, has yet to understand that rebelling (even for the right reasons) exacts a price on innocent people. Marcus will learn that he needs to balance the cost of rebelling to what they might or might not gain.
