who is jose-luis torrez

Jolu Torrez is one of the group of four friends who plays Harajuku Fun Madness together. He was one of the ones arrested and detained by the DHS after the terrorist attacks. He works as a programmer at an Internet Service Provider called Pigspleen Net. Because of his experience in writing code, Marcus relies on Jolu to help him with the security requirement of the Xnet. Jolu also suggests the use of public and private keys on the Xnet and helps Marcus arrange a keysigning party. Although he works with Marcus closely for a long time, Jolu eventually tells Marcus he must break his affiliation with the Xnet. Jolu is afraid they will be caught and is tired of living in fear all of the time. He tells Marcus that if he is arrested that he will be given more jail time and a harder sentence simply because he is Mexican.
