what is Marmee and Jo's response to Amy's experience in school?

Jo and Marmee were angered by Mr. Davis' actions, and they took actions of their own. Marmee gives Amy a break from school until she can talk to her husband.

No notice was taken of Amy's flight, except by her mates, but the sharp-eyed demoiselles discovered that Mr. Davis was quite benignant in the afternoon, also unusually nervous.
