I think the most interesting theme in Lolita is the constant misinterpretation of cultures. Interactions between Europeans and Americans in the novel are a source of misunderstanding throughout the novel. As a teacher, I rarely see this theme approached by my students, and I think it allows for a distinctly individual approach by the student!
