unreliable narrator in the novel Lolita

We catch on pretty quickly that the narrator has issues.As Humbert Humbert describes his feelings for Lolita,we understand his limitations as a narrator in touch with the greater ramifications of his interests. That Humbert is a pedophile is a given. Once we accept this we can move on with the story. We understand the context involved as the story unfolds.
