The day Alaska turned seven, he parents let her choose her own name. Alaska was not her first choice, but it was her second choice.

When she turned 7, her parents gave her the choice to choose her own name. She wanted to name herself Alaska the first time, but her parents said no. But she got to name herself Alaska the second time. So........... her name is Alaska now! :D
