Josie lives in Glebe, where she and her mother live in a terrace apartment. She and her mother have a good relationship, although, Josie notes that her mother is strict. She works as a translator and secretary in the medical field, and Josie goes to her grandmother's after school. Josie attends a great school because she has been given a scholarship. She spends a lot of time describing the wealthy and privileged, Josie's family has little money.
