1. How can you be sure that Jack is no longer playing a game? 2. Why is Piggy's death equated with the slaughter of the pigs? 3. Why do Ralph and Piggy decide to go to Jack's fort?

and for #3 I was thinking to try to reason with Jack and get Piggy's glasses back, but I'm not completely sure.

1. Jack has set himself up as a King. Simon is dead and Jack is ready to kill Ralph.

2. Golding's description of Piggy's death is much like the slaughter of a pig, "His head opened and stuff came out and turned red. Piggy's arms and legs twitched a bit, like a pig's after it has been killed."

3. They want to appeal to Jack in the name of civilization, they want to see if there is any "humanity" left in him.
