3. As Simon finds his way to the party, what becomes of him? How is this possible?

Simon is "mistaken" for the Beast. The boys surround him and stab him to death. By this time the boys have completely lost it. They act as one animal with no power of reason. THey kill the only boy who could have possibly saved them from themselves.
