A quote describing the clearing

I need a quote anywhere in the book that describes what the clearing in the middle looks like. The clearing is where Simon sits and helusinates.

I only find two mentions of the clearing. The text is provided below.

He squatted down, parted the leaves and looked out into the clearing. Nothing moved but a pair of gaudy butterﬂies that danced round each other in the hot air.

The butterﬂies still danced, preoccupied in the center of the clearing.
