How does the point of view shift or change with the coming of the captain?

Golding goes into the officer's point of view, which is the first adult perspective we are given in the book. This ironically gives the reader new perspective after being caught up in the madness of these boys. From the Captains perspective, the boys are no longer scary savages: they are dirty malnourished boys with sticks.
