how does piggy help ralph in his job as a leader

Piggy does the organizing of the boys. He gets names, ages....Piggy also says some intelligent things if they would only listen. Later in the novel, Piggy becomes a sounding board for Ralph. He helps Ralph keep his thoughts logical. Piggy also becomes a friend and confidant to Ralph.
