How has jack changed? " huts on the beach"

Jack feels the increasing need to kill a pig. It isn't a "we need meat" sort of urge rather than an "I really need to kill something urge". Jack is moving away from "civilized" behaviour. He shows no interest in building huts or fetching fresh water. He feels the primal urge to hunt and his socio-pathic urge to kill.
