How is Piggy the voice of reason so far in the story?How is he being treated?

Piggy is logical. He comprehends their situation in a way the other boys do not. Piggy is the closest thing to an organized adult they have on this island. Piggy's intelligence and practicality also make him a target for the other boys. Piggy is fat which makes him a source of derision. His practical matter of fact ways annoys the boys who just want to have fun on the island.
