how its piggy treated among the group verses ralph? why? why is piggy more responsible than the other boys?

Ralph is a bigger more muscular boy. He has the physique of a boxer but a kind face. He looks older than the other boys and is considered a leader. Although Piggy is perhaps the smartest boy on the island, he doesn't have the charisma and physical presence of Ralph.
