how has life on the island begun to mirroe human society and social hierarchy
Human society has a form of government and federal buildings such as the White House. In Lord of the Flies the platform represents the federal buildings, you can say Ralph is the president at the beginning. You can also see a social hierarchy where the "biguns" have more of a voice whereas the "littleuns" have to follow just like the politicians have the say but the rest of the people have to follow.
