Ralph is still convinced that his father will rescue them. Why?

Ralph still thinks like a child at this point in the story. He says that,

The Queen has a room full of maps with every island in the world marked on them, including this one. And the Navy will be searching for us and they will send a ship, perhaps Daddie's ship, to rescue us."
