the theme of chapter one of lord of the flies

Theme and summary are two different things. Which would you like?

Larry... the theme of the lord of the flies is that a group of school boys crashland on an abandoned island and try to search for food to survive. The summary of it, is one or two boys die. I'm sorry but I don't know the rest. Sorry. I'll think of something else to explain this.
