1)Simon is seen by many as a Christ figure. Simon demonstrates the following:

Prophesies his own death in chapter 7, as Jesus does throughout the New Testament

Feeds his followers fruit in chapter 3 much like Jesus feeds the multitudes in the New Testament.

Withdraws to his secret place in the forest as Jesus withdraws to the wilderness to pray.

Understands the truth about fear, evil, and human nature, but is slain as he attempts to share it

2) I'm not sure I understand "Ralph's options?"

3) Piggy is the social outcast; he's the one everyone makes fun of and picks on. He's also extremely intelligent which is the reason those less intelligent make fun of him. The conch is a perfect example; Piggy finds it, identifies it, tells Ralph how to use it, and then becomes its defender.

4.) The boys also compare Piggy to the pig, in the end, the hunters go from killing pigs to killing Piggy. There's your irony.
