What do the events of these first two chapters reveal about the major themes of the novel?

We can already see the struggle for power taking place. The strong and the weak are both struggling for survival. Ralph is elected chief but is already undermined by Jack. The boys unleash the power of the fire which they cannot control. The theme of order and chaos is already unfolding. They try to start a democracy and have a civilized meeting but the boys end chapter 2 in chaos.
