what does the six year old tell the others he has found?

The six year old says he saw a beastie, a snake-thing in the woods. He said that it came in the dark...... that it came and went away again, and then came back and wanted to eat him. He ended by saying that in the morning, it turned into the creepers in the trees.

He says they have seen a "beastie" when they were exploring. Jack pays little attention since he wants to lead a group of boys away from Ralph's group, specifically his choir boys.
