Who is better- Ralph or Piggy?

In a strictly social/survival context Ralph has more skills. Ralph, however, matures to see that Piggy has traits that he does not have. Piggy can think rationally and systematically. The word "better" is such a broad term and is heavily dependent on the context you are referring to.
