Macbeth falls down a slippery slope. As soon as he kills the King, everything changes for him. Killing becomes easier for him. He becomes more paranoid finding that he is "in bloodStepp'd in so far, that, should I wade no more,Returning were as tedious as go o'er." Macbeth no longer feels subservient to L. Macbeth. He shuts her out. By the ending Macbeth "grows weary of the sun". He finds he has no friends or honour. He seems quite ready to die.
