How does Macbeth feel about Duncan's announcement? What dramatic irony has just been created by Shakespeare?

Macbeth isn't happy about the announcement. In fact, he plainly states that he will either have to take the kingdom or simply give up....... but he's not going to give up. He plainly states that he has no desire for one hand to watch what the other will be doing, but that hand will perform the feat regardless.
