How does Shakespeare create tension in Act 5 scenes 1-4? In what ways does he use dramatic irony to create this tension?

Tension prevails throughout Act V beginning with Lady Macbeth's descent into madness (dramatic as she helped to orchestrate Duncan's murder), her suicide, and her husband's unemotional reaction. Dramatic irony can also be found in Macbeth's interpretation of the witches' prophecy, which he waits to "literally" happen. While Macbeth is worried about what could happen at Birnam Wood, he never has the foresight to understand that the English army might just bring Birnam Wood to him.
