Macbeth goes from being manipulated by his wife to dismissing his wife. We can certainly conclude that Macbeth has an obsessive personality. Initially Macbeth is insecure about aspects of his own personality. L. Macbeth effectively plays upon these insecurities. As the play goes on, we begin to see Macbeth's obsessions overpower his insecurities. Once he has decided to become a bloody tyrant we begin to see him more as a bloody sociopath than an insecure man at the mercy of his domineering wife.
