Macbeth
In the begining of act 2 what is Banquo uneasy about? Provide evidence
Macbeth
Macbeth
Banquo is certainly creeped out about the night. Macbeth is about to upset the whole axis of God’s universe (by killing Duncan) so naturally the whether is all stormy and dark. Check out Banquo’s quote in Act 2 sc 1,
Hold, take my sword. There's husbandry in heaven;
Their candles are all out. Take thee that too.
A heavy summons lies like lead upon me,
And yet I would not sleep: merciful powers,
Restrain in me the cursed thoughts that nature
Gives way to in repose!
Now that is some obvious foreshadowing!
