Macbeth

What is the "technicality" that gives Macduff the power to defeat Macbeth, in spite of the prophecy that no man of woman born could ever hurt him?

Macduff was born by having been ripped out of his mother's womb. This type of birth was considered to be not a natural birth and hence he was not considered "born of woman".
